We offer a range of courses, the following are currently active:
MLS LVAD
This is suitable for all healthcare professionals who may encounter a patient with a LVAD. We have had a mixture of nurses, doctors, physiotherapists, sonographers and radiographers on our course previously. You will be taught everything you need to know on the course and no prior experience with LVADs is necessary.

MLS Advanced
This is targeted towards members of the MDT who work in intensive care and the catheter laboratories. It would also be suitable for cardiology, anaesthetic and intensive care trainees as well as any other doctor working in a cardiac specialist hospital. Some previous experience of these devices is helpful.

eCPR
This course will give you the basics to setting up your own eCPR service. Starting will the evidence base and UK landscape we will demonstrate how to start a local service, essential equipment and staff needed, cannulation training and ending with simulation

MLS Certification
We will provide certification lasting 4 years in the management of mechanical life support on successful completion of the course.
After enrolment to the course we will send you the pre-course reading including the algorithm to review at your own pace.
During the day we will train you to become confident in early mechanical life support and there will be on-going observational assessment in the simulation sessions.
At the end of the course we will ask you to complete a post course MCQ with a pass mark of 60% based on the curriculum. Successful candidates will receive the certificate of accreditation at the end of the course. If the pass mark is not met we will arrange individualised teaching after the course to assist with any areas needing improvement and give further opportunity to sit the MCQ or course.
