BCS/HRUK Minneapolis Fellowship

Thanks a British Cardiovascular Society and Heart Research UK Fellowship the MLS team travelled to the Centre of Resuscitation in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Professor Demetris Yannopoulos and team are world leaders in E-CPR, authoring the landmark ARREST trial in the Lancet: Advanced reperfusion strategies for patients with out-of-hospital cardiac arrest and refractory ventricular fibrillation (ARREST): a phase 2, single centre, open-label, randomised controlled trial - The Lancet.

The collaboration is hoped to facilitate the development of and equivalent service in the United Kingdom following on from the regional E-CPR pathway developed in Harefield hospital through collaboration with Thames Valley Air Ambulance.
