Lara Merry

I am a Field Clinical Specialist working in the Heart Failure Division at Abbott across the UK and Ireland. I am a product specialist primarily for the HeartMate 3 LVAD but also work with CardioMEMS (hemodynamic monitoring system) and Centrimag (ECMO). I have the pleasure of working with all of the transplant centres in the country, supporting HeartMate 3 implants and providing training on the system.

I have a degree in Microbiology and Immunology so naturally an interest of mine is driveline infection and the general immunological response to VADs . Other than working with fantastic NHS teams across the country the best part of my role is meeting patients and hearing how this technology continues to impact lives in such a positive way.
